Old Newspaper Ads

While cleaning out my father's house (he's relocating to The Villages in Florida), we came across a few interesting late 80's Ads in the local papers.

First up! The local Chevy Dealer was advertising a '88 IROC Convertible (no pics) - LOADED? $13999

Another Ad (not the same dealer nor no Camaro mentioned) showed the APR of 9.9% in April 1988.

And my favorite ad of them all; Chief Auto Parts.

My friends and I spent countless hours looking at the poor selection of "speed parts" on the end caps. Cherry bomb muffler $8.99!

Ah the memories ... I thought I would share a little historical data for the younger guys and maybe pass along a smile or two for the older guys...

Re: Old Newspaper Ads

That Chief Auto Parts ad brought back memories of my time managing a Nationwise Auto Parts store (anyone here old enough to remember them?) back in the '70s. I used that same layout for my weekly newspaper ads.
