FNG Here

Just purchased my first GTA. 1987 GTA, 5.7L, hardtop. I have the window sticker, the RPO, and the build sheet too! Sadly, she's a little rough so it's time for a full refresh.

Got her home and gutted the interior because it was super nasty and now working to source odds and ends to bring her back to her original glory. Looks for any and all resources to find parts and pieces for this build. I'll be taking pics and trying to track the "build" and the costs associated with it.

Right now I need to source the entire interior upholstery, in saddle tan cloth. Original radio wiring plugs (someone cut the originals), the original radio, some saddle tan front seat belt plastic receiver covers, a new charcoal canister, a complete front end rebuild kit., new door pins, etc....

Anyone have trusted resources for these?

Hawks is a good start for a lot of odds and ends

Some restoration threads will have good ideas too, here's a current example:

I've gotten some stuff from classic industries as well. Just remember you can't spell mediocre without OER.

Welcome, and I'll second what Komet here writes!! When looking to purchase any reproduction parts, CAREFULLY read any reviews and threads about the parts in question. Too many reproduction parts for these cars simply do not fit, even with significant modifications. So buyer beware!!

There are several here who sell parts from take-outs, which can sometimes be a better source for replacements. A previous reply quoted a link to Hawks. They also do take outs from parts cars, and although seemingly at a premium, they can many times locate a rare plastic trim bit you need.

Throw nothing off your car out until you're done with the restoration. You may need parts that are no longer available.

Thanks for the info! Yes, I've made the mistake of trashing pieces in past projects. Learned the hard way.
