hey everyone...im looking at buying a 1985 trans am 95,000 miles carburated 5.0 t-tops with a custom interior and i believe it has a posi in it. the guy wants $2500 for it. anyways im wondering if anyone knows any fatal errors of this car that should steer me away from buying it or if i should look towards a newer model. help is greatly appreciated

 

NADA retail adjusted for your mileage is $2675.00. The loan value is $1350.00 and trade in is $1500.00. The price sounds pretty fair depending on the paint and interior condition, any rust, and the tire condition and wheel combo.

I would offer them $2000.00 just for the heck of it and tell them loan is only $1350.00 and that's all you could come up with.

Then if they accept this offer go to a local post office and get me a money order for $200.00 bucks cuz' I just saved you 500 smack-a-roos............. LOL
