Hi..My name is Dan and I am new to the list. Please forgive me if I violate any of the rules for this list. I just purchased a 91 Firebird Formula and Im trying to figure out whats stock on the car and what isnt. The car has a 350 WITH a 5 speed manual. From what Ive been told GM never made those cars with 350's AND 5 speeds. Is there any websites that provide info on the history of Camaro's/ Firebirds/ Trans Ams???? year by year? I searched the archives here and I didnt find what I was looking for....didnt want to double post. Thats it for now.

 

Welcome aboard. Did you try looking under TECH CENTRAL, RPO and VIN DECODER at the beginning of the site.

 

Whats the 1st 11 digits of your VIN?? Its gonna be the engine that isn't stock and you can find information in our Tech Data.

 

Are you absolutely sure its a 350? Even if its not the original motor, try running the codes on the block if possible. It could be something else.

 

Yeah, either the engine, or the tranny was swapped. Your vin # will clear it all up. Cool to see another metal head around here!
