Read for build sheet questions!

With the recent influx of "where's my build sheet?" posts, I thought maybe I would post this and possibly it could be a sticky or something.

Where Can I find my Build sheet?
It honestly could be anywhere in your car, but here are some common locations:

Check the front inside bumper above the license plate (seems to be 90-92)
Check anywhere near the rear bumper
Check under your seats, up inside the wire and stuff (common in 90-92)
Check in your spare tire area, might be taped to the actual car (Common in pre-90 cars)

Other spots:
On top of the gas tank (common in older cars)
On top of the headliner
under the carpet somewhere
behind the door panels (common in 90-92 cars)

If you have checked all of these places and still cannot find it, then it probably got thrown away at the factory (which the workers were actually supposed to do when the cars were shipped), or somebody else found it before you.

Is this xxx sheet my build sheet?
If you pulled it out from under your seats, NO. If it looks like this:

it is your interior/suspension options sheet.

NOTE: An extremely common place for this sheet is underneath your driver's or passenger's seat. It is tucked up into the cushion underneath the wire

I looked and found my build sheet/interior options sheet, but it's for the wrong car!! What can I do?
Sorry to tell you, but the answer is "close to nothing". You could carfax the vehicle's VIN on the sheet and find if it's near you, but the chances of it being crushed or damaged already is extemely high. Most 1990 cars I have seen have the wrong build sheet or options sheet in them. I'm not sure why this is.

If anybody can think of any other questions, please post them here.
