its not a motor...

its a release solenoid, it pops the latch form inside the front of the car, a pushbutton

like on other models of cars, see it all the time, usually the button on other cars is in the glovebox, to pop the trunk

same principle here

but its an F body instead

thanks

it is the whole unit

electric release unit....

totally different from the common every day hatch pull down motors

this is not a motor that i have, i have a solenoid, a plunger type solenoid to be exact

these are no where near as commonly found on TG F bodies as the hatch pull down motors

it is very common on car models other than F bodies

especially on B bodies and such, about 2/3 or 3/4 of all the caprices and impalas of the 77 and up years got one of these solenoids on the trunk release latch assembly, and a button in the glovebox for it

electric trunk popper

i dont think that you understand what part this is

i dont know why i even try sometimes

just am gonna toss it in scrap pile,.
...

thanks,

found a pic of it, finally.......

do you see what im talking about now ???

its a freaking plunger type solenoid....

and thats all there is to it

its a damn solenoid that electrically pops the hatch latch

real simple, not rocket science

and now i want 20 mailed for it, if not then scrap pile still, makes no difference to me which way it goes,
