Gauges and Interior Plastic
Looking for gauge cluster for an 84 Z28. Would like a speedo that goes higher than 85 if anyone knows if a newer one would be an easy swap. Also looking for pretty much an entire tan interior, or whatever pieces you may have. Let me know bohndog@gmail.com

Re: Gauges and Interior Plastic
As you know the factory 84 HO cluster has a double needle speed - these were only made to go as high as 85 MPH. You can install a 85-89 SPEEDOMETER into your original cluster and show a speed of up to 110,.... or 145 without any issues.
If you install a COMPLETE 85-89 cluster in your car will will create cluster backlighting problems as well as creating a problem with the "BRAKE" warning light. The 85-89 clusters are not fully compatable with the 82-84 dash wiring harness.
I've got a factory HO Cluster as well as 85-89 styles,..... But I do not have just the Speedometer. ( sounds like swapping the Speedo only is your best bet.)

Re: Gauges and Interior Plastic
I need the entire cluster. Looks like a previous owner tried to soldier the back, and short circuited it. Now when I turn the lights on everything flips out except the speedo. I know the whole cluster from an 85-89 won't work, but would like a speedo that goes higher than 85.
How much do you want for the older cluster and the newer speedo?
