Re: Mechanical Speedometer (Cable Driven)

I have an '87 Bird with an electric speedo. I did a V8 swap with a TH350 trans. No cheap way to get the speedometer to work so I figured I'd just swap it out with a mechanical one.

Re: Mechanical Speedometer (Cable Driven)

I've got 2 Firebird mech speedo clusters. The first is from an 84 Trans AM; It has EXPORT GAUGES & I'm not sure about compatability with your 87.

The other is a "dummy light" cluster from an 86 firebird ( HAS 85MPH mech speedo. )

If either of these clusters will work for Ya' just post a reply and we can go from there.

Re: Mechanical Speedometer (Cable Driven)

I have a speedometer that is cable driven it is the 85 MPH, pulled from a 86 Z-28 with a 305, I'm not really sure if it would work for a firebird, just tossing that out there. If interested e-mail me at innyards@hotmail.com
thanks
