I'm looking for a new driver's side door latch. The door sags a little and scrapes at the bottom when it closes (may need new pin(s) as well). The hard rubber or plastic that coats the 'jaws' that snap around the bolt is worn off and the jaws don't hold the door tightly so it bounces on rough pavement. I've tried Rockauto and a few others. Would this be dealer only? If available.

Replace the pins and bushings. Pretty much all GM vehicles use the same striker, I think Dorman makes one. Try a piece of hose on the striker if you can't find a replacement.

If the OE brass bushing is missing or worn to the point where the door pin has turned the hinge pin hole into an egg shape opening then you're going to need a hinge rebuild kit. If that's the case, replacing the pins and brass bushings with OE replacements probably wont solve your problem for long..
That was the case with my 87 IROC and had to order and install the rebuild kit. Here's a link to Top-Down, http://www.top-downsolutions.com . Lon sells the rebuild kit and can also talk you through any questions or concerns with the rebuild process. It's the right way to go for a long term fix without having to do the job twice.
Good luck

Thanks. I was just going to use it for autocross but I'm getting sucked in to repairing/replacing stuff. Oh well it's only money.
