WTB: ‘84 console latch & ac/heater vacuum manifold

Looking to buy just the push button latch for a center console to fit an 84 Trans Am. Mine will no longer latch and when I took it apart, one of the plastic “springs” have broken off. This causes the latch to not catch and the door constantly springs open. Console color is black.

Secondly, looking for the vacuum manifold that activates the various outlets for the vent / heat / ac system. Currently only the front window defogger vents will operate and I can hear the vacuum while the car is running.

shipping to zip code 11758 please and thank you.

Re: WTB: ‘84 console latch & ac/heater vacuum manifold

My 84 TA had the same issue with the console latch. A fix I did that worked pretty good was the following: I cut off the plastic “spring” pieces and then found some vacuum hose that filled in the gap between what was left of the latch piece and the back of the depression in the lid for the latch. I’m guessing but it’s maybe 1/4”. This hose held the latch in place to close the lid but was flexible enough (cause it’s hollow) to be pushed in and release the latch.
Hopefully this description makes sense. I know this would be easier to follow if I had pictures to show you.

I can see what you are talking about. I don't have any laying around but that's just an excuse to run to the store . I'll have to give that a shot! Thank you for the suggestion.
