gauge panel removal

Car: '85 Firebird
Engine: 2.8 V6
Transmission: stock BW 5 spd.
Axle/Gears: stock 3.42
gauge panel removal

i have to remove the gauge panel in my car to replace a couple bulbs is this something i should try myself or have a mechanic friend of mine do?, also the trip odometer is broke (won't reset), is there an easy way to fix it?

It is easy to do yourself. Dont force anything tho, if it dosent come out easily then there is something holding it in.

yeah, it's extremely easy. about the trip meter. you're best bet is to just pick up a new one. if you want to though.. here's a link to a company you can send your speedo or tach to and they reprint your guages and recalibrate them, and they can fix your trip meter....
