Door panel problems

I just got my upper plastic door panel parts for my car though classic and the studs on the plastic trim are to short. There not long enough to have the locking ends slide on them and have the panel between them. How can i fix it any one know? Sorry i cant explain it more. plus i cant post pics cause i lost my camera.

Wait, first of all make sure the nuts are inverted, they screw on instead of pushing on.

yeah i took off the old screw on ones with the inverted hex tip. Well at least thats how i would explain it. The nuts Classic gave me are the push on one way lock nuts(crap). I just need to find a screw driver that works.
