Front seat recovering....ran into problem!
Hi. I bought a vinyl seat recovering kit off of Hawks third gen. Rear seats were no problem, and came out great. Fronts on the other hand are posing more of a problem. I got the bottom half done pretty easily, but ran into a problem on the top half. I have no idea how to remove the headrests. They are the sliding adjustable ones.....just standard seats, no lumbar support or anything. Anyone tun into this before? I definatly am NOT going to cut a slit in the seat cover to get it over the headrest, so any info would be much appreciated.
Just muscle it out, theres a retainer clip that you cant get to halfway holding it in. One swift upwards yank will do
You will have to hold this clip back when re installing the headrests thou
A bent butterknife works good for that
