brushed steel look?

Hey,
So, say if i took all the metal parts out of the interior (door handles, e-brake, etc) Could I sand away all the paint, and somehow make it look brushed? or would I have to bring it in to get it done?

Look at contact paper, or better yet, something called "Monokote" from a hobby shop (applied with heat like a sheet of heat-shrink on a roll).

interesting idea but it would be a pain and doubtful that you'd get the look your after..

to answer your question yes you could sand these pieces and yes with the right grit paper it would look somewhat like you wanted however the metal is not aluminum like most brushed metal you see like that. simply stated as soon as someone touched it with their naturally greased hands within a day or two you would see finger prints.

go to my cardomain site or my myspace page at www.myspace.com/kandied91z i had everyting on my car down to metal for the restoration and in one day you can see finger prints start to form on the sheet metal and similar parts alike.

what's this mean to you? unless your fixing rust or just want to sand down to repaint do not waste your time..
