swapping out speedometer?

Transmission: 4spd, auto, auto
Axle/Gears: 2.77 posi
swapping out speedometer?
I have an 84 Camaro w/speedo cable and 85 MPH speedometer, I also have white gauge faces for a 145 MPH speedometer. What do I do so I can use the faces?

so i don't have to change the gears in the transmission? what cars/years came with a 145 MPH speedo and still used the cable?

uh oh im about to switch out rearend actually (3.23 posi) my stock is 3.42 (one legger) I believe
