Mechanical Speedo Question
I think mechanical speedo is wearing out. Sometimes when I hit a bump at highway speeds the needle will start bouncing to a higher indicated speed and there is a whirring noise. The noise and "wrong speed" will continue until I slow down quite a bit and then the noise stops and indicated speed is correct. I've taken it apart and there doesn't seem to be anything to adjust or lubricate. Anybody a speedo expert?

Re: Mechanical Speedo Question
I'm not a expert lol, but my buddy had the same issue when he got his camaro, he ended up just replacing the whole cord and now it works, but now he just relized the previous owner dropped in taller gears, he has to recalibrate it... good luck, try replacing it first.

Re: Mechanical Speedo Question
If you have stock gears, then you should be fine. My friend bought his car, had a differen't trans, and he also removed his cruise control unit, so it was mixed up. I think its just ur cable, easy (sorta) to replace.
