Seat Belt guide screws
Hello. This is my 1st post and this forum looks great!
Does anyone know offhand and from a manual the proper size machine screws that are used to attach the seat belt guides into the side of the seat? The '89 Formula I picked up recently did not have any guides. I not got the guides but not the screws. I'm sure I can pick them up at a hardware store if I knew the right size.
Any help?

For parts like this, you might have best luck calling up your local gm dealership (parts section) and ask them about it. They might even be able to get the part as long as its not discontinued.

a #8x3/4" oval head sheetmetal screw will get you really close.
black, steel,stainless... your fashion treatment.
trip to the junkyard and you could prolly get HANDFULLS of them for about a dollar.
they are used in pretty much everyting.
nothing like using factory hardware, IMO.
good luck.

Re: Seat Belt guide screws
in my 82 i just used some ordinary common stainless steel or chromed 45(or whatever ddegrees they are) degree seat ones that you find in the interior of alot of vehicles
and they dont need to be very long either
i have tons of hardware i have saved over the years from stripping vehicles, so it was just a matter of doing some digging
all they do is thread into a hole punched in the sheetmetal frame of the seat
sheetmetal thread interior screw
really common
just dont go overboard when tightening them up
size i have no idea
i go by sight, no clue what they are in numbers though
i never have learned the sizing of screws like these
other things yes, but not screws
good luck
