ok so this problem started recently and i don't understand why.... the windshield wipers on my 86 IROC seem to only work when they feel like working.. the delay doesn't work at all low might not work and the high setting will usually get the wipers started but they reach a certain point and then just come back down , they don't really wipe anything..... but other times the high setting will work like new and just the other 2 won't work...


its really wierd and confusing to explain but i have spoken to other camaro owners and they have told me similar things .... does anyone know what is wrong or how to fix that ????? driving in the rain is getting really hard =(

 

do a search for wiper troubles. i've seen tons of info on here about fixing them. if i remember correctly your problem is probably fixable by sordering some connections in or around the wiper box. i think there is a tech article- someone wrote up a good explanantion of the fix a while back. if not there should be one. just do the search and you should find the answer.

 

My wipers have been doing the same thing for years. I as of yet to resolve the problem.

Even after replacing the guts in the column, it still does it.

 

S-10 Had similar problems odds are good that if you replace the delay board your problem will go away.
