Seats

Will the seats of a third gen Camaro fit a second gen? I heard they have the same pattern to fit into the floor pans. Can anyone tell me if this is true or not?

Re: Seats

The 4th gen seats that are in my 91 were originally bought to go in my 79 T/A. Fourth gens are a direct bolt in for 3rd, so I'm assuming the seat tracks on 3rd and 4th are the same. The 4th seats would not bolt into my 2nd without a good bit of modification to the tracks and drilling new bolt holes. There are high and low spots in the floor of a 2nd and the 3rd and 4th are relatively flat. Not to say they wont work at all, but if I remember correctly you'll have to get something to use as spacers under the rear of the seat tracks, longer bolts, drill new holes in the floor pan and put the nuts under the car.
