what are these??

i brougth an early z28 to strip and was trying to find out what these lever things are for,they say left vent and right vent.can any one tell me

I'm gonna guess that it's a factory no A/C car and those are fresh air vents for the left and right side of the car, sort of a forced fresh air under the dash. An old (54 Chevy) truck I used to have had a lever to open a vent that would catch air and force it into the cab while it was going down the road. Wierd, I've never actually seen a modern type car with anything like that.

did these come in alot of z28s or is it more of a rare part. i dont know the year of this car.

The double-pointer speedo (if it hasn't been swapped in) would indicate that the car is an 82-84. Non-AC cars aren't rare.

I aggree with the non ac cars not being rare, but if I were you I would pull the entire non ac system. I was looking for that exact vent panel a few years ago and to find an unbroken one was almost impossible.
