gauge swaps
so..i got a 86 z28 i wana put 90-92 gauges in it can i just put them in like i did the 1988 pod?? is the speedo cable gonna hook up?....

so now im thinkin about reverse glow gauges only issue is the gauges pod i have camm out og a v6 or l4 i guess. So where the tach is on most v8 cars is a huge gas gauge and all the little gauges are dumby lights. YAll think i can find reverse glows for this style cluster

It's easy to upgrade that cluster to the tach version.
Before I changed to the 91/92 style, my car orignally had the cluster you had. With the big gas gauge and dummy lights.
I just went to a junk yard, and found the better cluster with the tach etc.
I first swapped out the water and oil sending units. Then I just plugged the cluster in, and everything worked.
I doubt you'll find reverse glow, in the dummy lights gauges.
