front top of dash speaker covers??????

Engine: V6 2.8 multi-port and V8 5.0 FI
Transmission: 5-Speed and Automatic
Axle/Gears: no idea
front top of dash speaker covers??????

does anyone know how to remove the speaker covers off the top of the front dash speakers??? looks like theres 4 pegs that pop or snap in. i got 1 out ok 1 broke and 2 that i cant for the life of me break free

are they screwed in at the bottom and i have to remove the whole stupid dash pad to get them out or what?

Which car? The Camaro or the Trans Am?
I know with the Camaro all you do is remove the screws by the defrost vents (drop drop them down the vents) and the 1/2 dozen or so underneath the dash pad and the whole pad comes right out exposing everything including the speakers. Takes only a minute.

Not sure about the Trans Am.

Yes, you must remove the pad but be very gentle removing the bolts because the plastic studs break easily.
