i bought an 85 Camaro with the 305 on sunday. the guy i bought it off of replaced the 85mph gauge cluster with the 145mph. the old cluster had idiot lights. he told me the temp and oil pressure gauges dont work because he hadnt gotten around to changing the sending units.

now my question(s) are where are they located? i think the oil pressure sending unit is on the back of the block either next to the distributor or near the oil filter. at least thats what i've found out by searching.

however i havent been able to find anything about the temp sending unit/switch.

also he said the tach needs to be calibrated. how does one do that?

The temperature sender is in the drivers side head between #1 and #3 cylinders.
