If the back seat wasn't able to fold down, I would've never been able to fit my spare and 4 new tires into the back of my car to take it to the mechanic's. :P

Re: Why have flip down rear seats?

Well, the bumming of the rides is a good one that I have used. Or... If you are taking a girl out to lunch and all of a sudden she has 2 friends with her, you can say sorry, it is a two seater! I love it. I wish I had the split seats, but I wont change after getting my 4th gen seats.

I have fit 7 boxes in my car when I was moving...My friend with a 240sx could barely fit 3 (he has subs though). I care really care less if the seats are up or down. The way I see it is I can fit more girls in the back.
