91 firebird How do I remove the trim around the inner door handle?
I am trying to remove the door panel. It is loose except the black plastic trim, around the inner door handle. I removed the "firebird" emblum and the screw under the emblem.
In the center of the inner door handle TRIM, is a 1/2" diameter button or cover. I suspect there is a screw under it? I can't get the "cover" off.
This is NOT the same as the older F bodies, with the real and fake allen screws. Thanks

Nevermind, I drilled a pinhole in the button, removed it and the screw underneath.
Now I fighting the panel, trying to get it up, off the door, at the top!

Roll the window down
Pull out all of the christmas-tree clips so the panel is floppy
Pinch the top rear of the panel with your hands
You will feel the little clip release
Repeat for the remaining clips and the panel will release
*Note* You must keep a minor upward force on the panel or the clips will snap back in
Be gentle and it most likely wont break
The upper plastic pieces are quite expensive to replace
