How to remove HVAC bezel (face plate) 92 Camaro
I have spent a lot of time trying to find this using the search function but no luck - I am sure this has already been answered but darned if I can find it.
I need to get into my HVAC controls and would appreciate tips on how to remove the upper console bezel/face plate so I don't screw it up. Is there a 4th screw in the upper left corner hiding behing the corner of the guage surround? Do I need to loosen/remove the shifter-ashtray plate first? (mine is AT).
THANKS IN ADVANCE
MIKE

It does make things easier to remove the ashtray/shifter plate first. There is a groove in the lower edge of the radio/HVAC bezel that fits int the shifter plate. The screw on the upper left is a fake to make the trim look nice, but there is a hook under it that slides in to the left, so once all the screws are out, slide a little to the right and it should come off.
