Steering wheel won't come off
Anyone ever have a steering wheel that just won't come off? Yesterday I tried to take mine off, and gave up after 2 hours of trying. I actually bent the steering wheel puller even. I also tried the "pull on the wheel while you hit the shaft with a hammer" method, to no avail. I've taken several off other cars, with nowhere near this much trouble, I even pulled one from a junkyard car once by just pulling and wiggling on it. I have a spare GTA column in the shop, but I don't remember if it's in good shape or not - I'm gonna go grab it tonight. Are there any tricks for getting off a stubborn wheel? It's in bad shape, so I don't mind trashing it in the process.

Just going to throw this out there, but did you remove the nut and safety clip? Sometimes I get in a rush, especially with easy stuff that I have done a zillion times and forget the basics....There's nothing except maybe rust that can be holding it on.

Re: Steering wheel won't come off
Well, I got it off tonight. I bought a better puller, and some PB penetrating oil, let the oil soak for a few minutes, and it came right off. I'm not sure which did the trick, but it was easy this time. Thanks for the replies!
