I noticed classic industries now has an aftermarket dash pad for Camaros. Anyone ever tried it or seen it?

That's not "too" bad......I paid that much for my 82 Corvette dash pad and it has a lot more curves in it than the third gen pad. (means it takes more to make)
If that pad is anything like the one in my vette it'll fit horribly...
Thankfully the market still has a ton of nice used pads that still look great
On a side note....it says "paint to match"....I though all the third gen dash pads came in black on our cars

Re: Aftermarket dash pad
Its not a GM orignal. It's listed as OER, not OEM. OER means Orginal Equipment reproduction (aka a fancy way to say aftermarket). But is a bit pricey and I am pretty sure it does just come in standard black but you can paint if you want.
I doing a 100 point restore on my car. So I may consider it. I am having a hard time finding one that is not cracked here in AZ. The sun is brutal on the interiors. But sounds like the vette ones were pretty bad quality.

I called "Just Dashes" (www.justdashes.com)... They want $500 or so to actually redo your dash... But I hear they do excellent work...
Other thing, I thought dashpads changed from 84 to 85, I'm pretty sure they did for Firebirds, how about Camaro's???

I don't think they ever changed the dash pad on the Camaros. If they did it would be the 90 to 92 model years when they updated the interior, but I think they still keep the same dash pad.
