Aftmkt seat install, just for future reference...

I bought some APC seats a few years ago (Godfathers had them for $120/pair. I couldnt resist!). Only down side was I couldnt figure out how to make a bracket for mount them, and APC didnt show to have any. So instead I cut of the original mounting studs and just bolted them through the floorboard using some G8 bolts and fender washers. Looking back, Im really pissed that I did this. Im wanting to get some more comfortable seats, but I cannot directly bolt them in.

IIRC, the studs are mounted on a raised platform that looks to be spot welded onto the floorboard. Counldn't I just cut out the platform that's in my car now and weld in another one from another car? Anyone screw up like I did? I just want to go ahead and clear this up for when I do find a deal on some seats, I know that I didn't totally fvck up my car and I can put them in using the factory mounting studs.
