Re: t-top problems

well It might sound like a smart a$$ question but my kid sold hi acura for 50 bucks cause it was broke down and he just couldn't figure out what was wrong. I asked if it was out of gas, with engine surging then sputtering then finally dieing all together with the needle pointing just above the E. He said no it has gas... Acted all offended that I would assume he would be so stupid. The guy he sold it to "fixed" it by pouring 5 gallons of gas in it.
The look on my kids face
He now rides a bike.

Lets face it if it was never the stupid things then the stupid things wouldn't be so stupid would they.

Cause he's 19. and his friend 17, said it was completely toasted and wasn't worth nothing.

We been bickering about that for months before hand. To this day he doesn't think it was out of gas yet doesn't know why it started when gas was added.

Why would I do that? cause after you tell em and after you argue about it, and after the friend says I am wrong then you let them do what they want.

Re: t-top problems

i ask because a friend of mine in high school( before i even had my iroc) had this beautiful blue iroc-z and i was going to buy it at the time for 3500( big mistake not buying it) as he was going into the army. so we went for a test drive over the bridge and i think we where cruising around 65-70 WITH THE T-TOPS LATCHED NOT LOCKED and they somehow vibrated loose and i remeber him screaming "" omg grab the top its bouncing up"""" sure enough they where about to fly off so . we pulled over and locked them and there where no problems after that. so if i where you id get some keys made by the locksmith for them. unless gm can still make em. and also replace the gaskets if there beat up.

Re: t-top problems

take a look at the latch check to see if its worn or the end is busted is it loose compared to the other side?

check ebay for locks, there is often locks with key for sale.

Same here. I have my ignition key and the other key that opens both doors (driver and passenger), the glove compartment box in the back, the hatback, and the t-tops themselves.
