Rear Hatch
Rear Hatch
I don't know if this is the right board to post this in, but here's my problem....
I just recently purchased a 84 Z28 to rebuild. There are no keys with it and no battery to open with the power release button for the rear hatch. Is there any way to open the hatch without the key or the button?
Thanks,
Mike

Re: Rear Hatch
...why cant you hook a battery to it? Or even just use jumper cables from one car to the terminals. That'll give you enough to work the hatch.
Other than that, You'd need to very crudly remove the rear panel. I say crudly because there are screws and contacts and what not that you cant get to with the hatch closed. Your gonna be crawling and wedging yourself back there to basically do damage when you could just give the car power.
No offense but its almost kind of fishy sounding.... No key I can understand. It happens. But cant put a battery to it to get in the hatch?
