my custom gauges

Well I never liked the yellow gauges in my car. So I scanned the stock gauges, changed em up a bit, printed them off on photopaper but left the now red areas white. colored them in with a red sharpie. this worked better then trying to print red. the light didnt quite make it through using these as overlays so i peeled off the gauges and adhered these right to the plastic. also painted the needles red.





bah, saving them as jpeg really blurred them


another blurry jpeg shot. the light does shine though the black though but its not too bad and at least you can see the numbers

Sweet!!!! I just think it's to much red. But they look pretty damn good for a home made job!!!!

Looks good, I love the red gauges. Personally, I would have left the plastic cover piece unpainted. It would make it look like it was originally made that way.

you say his are all red plastic, looked at yours lately

was more like $450 and they beat the stock pos gauges anyday .. plus the stupid dealer wanted $600 just to fix my speedo (not the other broken gauges)

thanks CamarosRUS. still am considering striping the paint back off. but was already red so i just havent got around to it yet.

and mine are a little more then red plastic.. have you looked at mine lately??

imo I think you should of done black for the bezel around the guages, but i love the gauges and how they came out, just i would have done black on the bezel
