Hi im in dire need of help. Im selling my car and everything WAS working and now the hatch motor wont latch. I can close the hatch and just lift it up the pulldown is locked in the down positions. If i stick the key in and turn it nothing happens it just stays down. The fuse isnt blown either, im not sure whats ammater and need to fix it tommarrow and cant wait for a new unit. PLEASE HELP ME!!! thanks Nate

 

There's a little latch like thing you press with your finger to bring hte motor back up. Its where the pull down catches the latch on the hatch.

 

Thanks I acttuly did a more indepth search and saw that, but I couldnt find the latch. Found a pic of where im suspose to reach my finger

 

take a screwdriver, a big one - a slot edge one. then push down in the center of the latch mechanism and it will go down and the hook will click over as it the hood was closed, which it will not be.
then go to the center counsole and hit the open button. if that does not work you need a new motor.

 

I dont have a open button i dont have that option lolI fixed it i slid the whole asembly up and now it works for some reason

 

well how do you open it without an open button? do you always have to use the key?

 

Yep i have to get out and go to the back lol
