center arm rest assembly

Does anyone know where the little spring, if you can call it that, inside the center glove box that keeps the latch in place goes. I took it apart and before I could see it the little part fell out. I have looked at it to long and nothing I am trying is working. I cannot find it in my chilton or online anywhere. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The curved piece of metal that acts like a spring mounts behind the latch piece. The curved part faces forward and sits against the back part of the latch piece. When you put the latch it place there will be a gap between the back of the latch and the trim piece itself.Simply place the metal spring in there and reassemble your pad.Make sure you dont turn it over till you put the pad on or the spring will fall out

That "spring" piece of curved metal is notorious for breaking. I used an actual small spring and it works just fine.
