Need some advise on repairing the back of my seats..

I have an 88 T/A. seats are black/charcoal in color with lumbar support. Bought the car back in 07' from an older gentleman who had the car stored for many years. The back of my seats have the hard plastic on the back of the seat and headrest. It looks as though mice may have chewed on the plastic or the owner may have stored something in the back seat that rubbed into the platic leaving deep scratches and even patches that look chewed up. Does anyone have any idea how i may be able to repair the damage or even remove these from the back of the seats to replace them? Also have the adjustable headrests. Ill post pics tommrow so you can all see what im talking about. Thanks for looking/
