Seat track dissasembly

Anyone ever disassembled the stock manual seat track? I want to sandblast mine, but I'd rather take it apart 1st.

I did a long long time ago. Be careful, the tracks can shut with a lot of force. You could accidently snap'm shut on your hand. I took mine apart and used a grinder to clean them up and painted them with rattle can. From what I remember the rods are the main thing keeping the two tracks together per seat.

Everything was pretty self-explanatory when I took them apart. I may have pics. I'll look when I have more time.

Re: Seat track dissasembly

Hi Mathius, I've removed them from the seat already. I want to take the track itself apart, so I can clean and lubricate them. I'll try to post pics, to show what I'm talking about.

Today I sandblasted one set and the sand made its way inside the track making it even worse to slide. Hopefully I'll figure it out.
