I am doing a 4th gen dash swap. I have a 95 v8 cluster. I have searched quite a bit and read through a lot more pages on how to do it. There is however some confusion on my part about the speedo and tach. I do not have the buffer box at the ecm (it was gone when I got the car). Can I use the signal off the yellow box behind the cluster to the speedo. I do not know if its 2kppm or 4kppm output. I know the 95 cluster wants 4kppm input. Or will I need to get a dakota box sg5ic I think to convert the signal if the box outputs 2kppm. The other thing is, the tach. I have heard that people have jumpy tachs, even with the v8 cluster. Do I need to get a dakota box for that as well. I will not be running a computer, at least not for a while until I do the lt1 intake swap. Any help would be appreciated.
