are the 2 styles of dashpad the same?

Engine: 305 LO3 5.0L V8 TBI
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 10Bolt Rear, Not sure the gearing
are the 2 styles of dashpad the same?
I have an 83 camaro that has the early style dash pad where the front is squared off instead of rounded like the later models and irocs, will the later rounded off style dash pad cover still fit on myne? it should right? if they both mounted up to the same kind of dashboards in the third gens then it should be compatilble...
