ive been farting around with my console lid for a while, the rear screws keep coming loose, like the hole is stripped, i have put bigger screws in but yet it still slips, how is a good way to finally solve this? its getting very annoying lol

 

i used stainless steel screws and that seemed to work.

 

Cool, I gotta remember that, changing faster material to stainless will actually repair stripped threads.

As far as fixing it, if bigger screws do not solve the problem here's one way to fix it...
drill out the holes large enough to fit a threaded insert into, and use a high strength epoxy to secure the insert, then just use a regular machine screw. Te biggest issue with this is getting the right epoxy. You'll have to find one that's compatible with the console plastic and the insert. There are plenty of epoxies that would form a strong enough bond, but prices and availability could be a problem. Good luck

 

actually you did inspire a possible way to fix it, using the molly's that you use for like drywall when you go to put in a screw, not too sure if thats what you meant but that should work pretty well. i was thinking too (since i need to work on my console a bit) to just take it out and use fiberglass resin to make like a block where the screws go, to give it somethint to bite into
