Car: 1985 Pontiac Trans Am
Engine: 305 smallblock aftermarket cam
Transmission: Borg warner T-5
Axle/Gears: 3.73
Friends 84 Trans am steering wheel problem
My friend has a 1984 pontiac trans am and he has a problem with the steering wheel its loose and wiggles around and he cant use his acc because of it i was wondering if or is there a way to tighten or do you have to replace something not familiar with columns anything would help for info.

Yikes!!
Seriously, the columns become loose because of 4 bolts that are located beneath the locking plate, under the signal canceling cam, below the housing, in the bowl ......
You need special tools and experience to fix it. Tell your friend to take it to a shop because if he doesn't know what's wrong with it he will just hurt it worse trying to work on it.
Or he can bring it by and I will fix it up for him.
