Carphone?
Couldn't find anyone talking about this anywhere. What's the original carphone like? I have all the components in my car, minus the actual phone. I tried to wire the antenna on my rear windshield as an antenna for the radio but that didn't work. I thought about removing it but instead I'd like to see if I can actually get my hands on one of these phones. It would be extremely retro and perfect

Re: Carphone?
I don't think there was a carphone - I don't think any car was equipped from the manufacturer with any carphone in the 80's. This was the era of the "bag" phone - hate to admit it, but I had one.

LOL Car phone. A week ago I was down at the Chevy dealer in Topeka KS looking for parts. They've got a picture on the wall of a car phone. Actually all their interior decorating in the parts department is right out of the mid 80s. It was quite the laugh.
Anyway, it wasn't a factory option. It would have been dealer installed. The ones I've seen are usually bolted to the side of the center console, and the various electrical connections tap into the fuseblock. They're usually in the way since they cut into leg room, and when you take them off they leave holes.
