LED interior lighting

I replaced all of my courtesy lights in my car with LED's a few months ago and I really like the lighting effect.
It is a nice white light.

The images show the interior a tad brighter than it really is, but it is brighter than the stock lighting.

Re: LED interior lighting

I got all the LEDs from various vendors on Ebay. all of them came from Hong Kong and took about 10-14 days to arrive.

2x 194 bulbs for the foot wells
2x map light bulbs (can't remember the type)
1x 12smd LED panel for the Dome Light.

Re: LED interior lighting

that looks great! I started converting all my lights to LEDs too. For the light near the hatch I used a 12 LED block I got at Pep Boys, but the rest are gonna be stock replacements when I get around to em.

Re: LED interior lighting

Did you have to soldier in a resistor so it does blow the LED light?

Not if purchased as a plug and play item.

(2x)I used these in my dome and trunk and love them

(10x)194 bulbs for the foot and map lights, side markers front and rear, and licence plate illumination. Work fantastic!

(1x)an of course the "ash tray" light, if so equipped

Re: LED interior lighting

That came out great. I have a 92 Camaro and if its the same as four Firebird then I never knew we had lights above the floor mats!

LED lighting

I purchased 5 different sets of LED lights to test from Ebay. Was surprised how much I liked this simple upgrade. I will add an album for this led light project.

Qty Product/Options Price/Ea
2 WLED-NW5 Natural White 3.94
2 WLED-R5 Red 2.99
2 WLED-A5 Amber 2.99
2 WHITE LED WEDGE LIGHT BULBS T10 4 SMD 194 168 W5W PAIR
1 Red Dome 44MM 9 SMD LED
1 White Dome 44MM 9 SMD LED

Preferred the "WHITE LED WEDGE LIGHT BULBS T10 4 SMD 194 168 W5W PAIR" for the license plate, see pictures. These push the light straight out compared to the WLED-NW5s and they had a different whitish blue tint to them.

Preferred the amber lights in my clear front side markers.

The interior lights are going red in the red iroc. Just felt the white lights are too bright for this car, who knows if I will change my mind but have to try it out. Not sure what to do for the dash yet. Once I get a fixed tach from gcj280 I will work on it.
