Dash Pad Repair
Does anyone know what would be the best thing to use if you are trying to repair a sun baked dash pad. the damage is only minimal, only 1-3 cracks. what is the best material to use for a repair?

Re: Dash Pad Repair
Theres a thread on it, I did have the link, but my computer went up in smoke and I had to reinstall OS and lose just about everything on my HD -_-.
Anyways, its some kind of foam stuff you want to use to fill in the cracks, think theres something called the "right stuff" or something like that, you can also use some type of stuff they use to repair plastic bumpers. First you have to file down the edges though so that the edge of the cracks are flush with the dash pad, then fill it in, sand it flat, then coat it with truck bed liner or like some type of rubberized interior coating stuff, then paint it. Hope this helps, oh and you should be able to find this stuff at a pep boys.

Re: Dash Pad Repair
Yeah, I plan to do one when I get around to it, my dashpad looks like hell, but atm have bigger things to worry about with the car than aesthetics...ie engine swap...picking up the engine tomorrow actually..
