steering column,need help
steering column,need help
I am doing an lsx swap into a 91-92 camaro with an airbag but I want a grant steering wheel, possibly with a quick release and I am finding that there isn't one to fit the 91-92 style column.I was wondering if I could swap an older non airbag steering column into the 91-92 and how I would do it?
Thanks for any help

I didn't know there was a difference in the column itself, just the air bag wheel vs. non-airbag wheel. Have you contacted Grant about this to verify? Does Grant (or whomever) make a wheel for the 4th gen cars? I do know for a fact that a 4th gen wheel is a direct bolt-on in a 3rd gen car.

I removed the coil and then ground down the black trim cover in the Grant kit on my car. I've got a 91 column in my car.
my brother is using the Grant kit in his 96 Trans Am without the trim cover, I'll see if I can take a picture of his so you can see how it looks.

I was wondering about the same thing. if i have read all the posts correctly then an non-airbag column is a direct bolt in for the 91-92 camaro, correct?
