Instrument Cluster Bulb socket
anyone know where I can get replacement sockets for the 91 Camaro instrument cluster? I got the bulbs, need sockets. Or a part number would work too..

Hit the Junk Yard, should be the same as tons of GM vehicles. Have hundreds of spares!

Look at the bottom of page 40 (page numbers on the pages, not the pdf file numbers). That will give you the part number - then you can plug that into the search box at autozone.com and see if they have them or if you have to order.

Re: Instrument Cluster Bulb socket
Does anyone know where i can buy the whole socket with the bulb for the instrument cluster? I've been looking but all i've been seeing and knowing is that the part number it has is for the light bulb so that sucks. I have a 98 camaro rs with a 5.0 eng. I would really appreciate it.
Thanks
Thanks

I found mine at autozone. Mine is a 91, not sure if it uses the same part or not. they were about $2 each.
are they similar to the below?
http://www.autozone.com/autozone/par...artNumber=true
there are a few different ones depending on size from 1/2", 3/4" etc. I think the part numbers are like 85835 or 85836 depending on size. there is a link earlier in this post that gives part numbers and sizes. I think they are listed on page 40 of the link.

Re: Instrument Cluster Bulb socket
Thank you jjohnston. I'm going to try that. From what i've been reading the only thing that changes that i need to look for is the size? I've looked in that catalog, but not sure how to search because it saids about 2 wire, 3 wire etc. So then just getting the sockets then does that mean it doesn't matter what bulbs i get just as longest its compatible to the sockets?
Thank you,
Thank you,

I just looked. Yours does us a different part than mine. the part number for yours I think is S1723. I found it on www.rockauto.com. do a part number search for that number and you should be good to go. You may want to compare the picture on the site with the one you pull out to be sure it looks the same. (The description sounds right).
Bulb sizes for yours are different than mine too. I want to say your bulbs are either a 161 or a 37...
