I've got myself a nice little project. A 1979 T/A wit ha built-to-the-hilt BBC, and a 400 tranny, stock 3.23 gears in back.

Problem is, the interior is shot. Until I recoup my cash, I need some decent seats. I have access to two reasonably okay 3rd gen seats, but need to know if changing seat tracks will make it a direct bolt in. From what I've been able ot find, it reads like it is, but before I crawl around in the nasty 3rd gen I'm stripping apart.... I'd like to know for sure.

My brother 84bandit, is a veteran here, but didn't know if this swap would work. Sorry if I missed something in the search feature, all I found was 4th to 3rd swaps.

It seems my donor seats were destroyed by the idiots who took the motor out of the car, and threw all the greasy crap (hoses, belts, etc.) onto the uncovered interior.

So... looks Like I'll just have to wait till I can get the cash to get my seats redone. Or put in the seats from the OTHER TA I have available for parts...
