Split rear seat backs in 4th gen 'birds?
I have an '85 Firebird. The rear seat backs are a 2 piece design. Did they make a 4th gen with 2 piece seat backs? How complicated is it to swap between a 2 piece and a 1 piece?

I don't think any of the 4th gens came with split rear seats.
The solid rear 4th gen seat bolts right in, on each side - since there's no 'middles' to them they just don't get slid onto the bars on the bump.

4th gen never got the split rears, but there is nothing stopping you from putting in the extra mounts for the split seats from a 3rd gen, into a 4th gen.
