Cool, no rust under carpet (92 Z28 droptop)

Cool, no rust under carpet (92 Z28 droptop)

It wasn't in that bad of shape, but not as nice as I like carpet. Thanks to ACC and rain storms, I went ahead and started the R/R yesterday.

Good to see there's not a spot of rust anywhere. I do think it's easier doing interior work on a convertible. Standing up now and then is nice!

you are one lucky 3rd gen owner. most of us find rust just by looking at these cars the wrong way

Other than the rear axle assembly which seems to always have surface rust, I've not found a spot of rust on this one. I expected to under the carpet, but nice surprise!

Gave myself a day off and installed the new carpet from ACC yesterday. It was kind of fun actually, just took my time. Great quality, even called them to say so. Pic >>

Hey Midwest - the new carpet looks great! I'm sure you'll enjoy driving around even more now! I have a 91 Z28 'vert that I'm working on - I pulled out the seats to get at the heater core. Once that's replaced (what a PIA!), I'm going to replace all the carpet. I was going to order full replacement carpet from Classic Industries. Where did you get yours from? Can you post the website? Also, did you have to do anything special to remove/install? For example, did you have to pull the center console?
