interior makeover
Hey fellas I have an 89 trans am that I'm. Building and I wanna personalize the interior...the car as with most people will be some extension to our personalities.. for starters I wanna change the carpet color and seats...now I have been having trouble finding the color carpet I want but I can find the dye...may sound silly but has anyone dyed their carpet before or know how to do so? Also the is it better to buy leather seat covers than to swap in different seats giving that I wanna personalize the head rest and different parts of the seat itself? Is installing seat covers difficult? Thanks

Re: interior makeover
if you are looking for a custom color carpet, PM me - I can always send ya samples of the different shades we have available (including the non-stock ones).
if you like the shape of your seats, the padding's in good shape, and you just want to change the look of them, go with some custom covers. A (good) local upholstery shop should be able to make them however you'd like them if the stock covers are in good enough shape to use as a template. As for installation, you just undo the hog rings underneath (think something along the lines of big staples) and the covers should slide right off.
