I recently test drove the 2010 camaro looking for a place to waste deployment money and enjoyed the feel of their seats. I was curious if anyone had either started a project to do the swap into a third gen or if the dimensions were even close enough for it to be a possibility without major modifications.

 

im sure its possible, idk about the width, but im sure you would have to do some fab work with the seat brackets to make it fit. If they are anything like the GTO seats, they will be a littl higher unless you can modify the brackets even more to get them closer to the floor since they have a lot going on on the underside as far an motors, pumps, wires ect.

 

they probably want a fortune for them..i wonder if theres an option for the 5th gen camaro that doesnt have all the fancy wiring and stuff just a simple lever action recliner.. id be interested in seeing this

 

Had a friend do a seat swap, and it turned out quite nice. I haven't done it, but I did take note what he told me so I can use for future reference.

Your best bet is to measure the width of the seats you currently have along with the length of the brackets and do the same for the 5th gen seats. Also, measure where the holes line up for the 5th gen brackets. They MAY be close, but don't be surprised if some drilling/fab work is called for.

 

It's not the dimensions I'm worried about.. More of how it looks inside. Any pictures?

 

I'd love to see pics before moving forward, i'm sure the seats won't come cheap.

 

They are cool seats, but the 5th gen is so big I think they would make it look out of place
